The Tri-County Conewago Creek Association has established itself as the go to organization for those in the Conewago Watershed with watershed related issues. One of the group's first projects was a stream cleanup on a local section of stream that was being used as a dumpsite. Volunteers worked all day to remove several hundred pounds of debris and trash from their watershed. Although the project might appear to be small in nature it helped the group establish a name for itself in the community.

The Tri-County Conewago Creek Association for several years has held a watershed snapshot event each spring. This event allows volunteers and community members the opportunity to go out into the watershed and test their local waterways to see how healthy they are. Participants in the event look at the water chemistry, the aquatic bugs in the stream, and sometimes even the fish to determine the overall water quality. This data is then reviewed each year to see if the group's efforts in the watershed are making a difference.
